As a Florida educator for 16 yrs and now an education/literacy freelancer/consultant (mostly) while keeping the local school district daytime gig, I have many concerns about the way we "do" education in this country.... It's tough to stand up in a culture determined to keep things 'as they've always been.' I say: catch up with the times! Quit handing pink slips to our youngest and brightest educators! Get out of the methodology rut, people. Will be interested to hear/see more about this.
